Jamaica is everywhere. Here is the evidence:
Streetwear brand Supreme and Barrington Levy-Jah Life have collaborated to create a line that honors the duos work together, which brought dancehall to the forefront of Jamaican music. Jah Life, along with his partner Henry "Junjo" Lawes, worked with Levy on his first three albums. These albums set the tone for modern day dancehall music. The collaboration also points to the fact that this groundbreaking music was created and recorded in New York. Dispelling the previous held belief that quality reggae-dancehall could only be made on the island of Jamaica.
The collaboration will be released online and in Supreme's New York, Los Angeles, London and Paris flagship stores. It will be released in Japan on June 18th. The collection features a hooded sweatshirt, three t-shirts and a tank-top featuring original artwork. Pick one up! We will be.
