KingstonToLA recently caught up with roots reggae sensation Fari DiFuture. Raised in Jamaica's Cooreville Gardens, Fari was introduced to music at a tender age. As a youth, he took on the influences of his parents, Winston and Maizy Powell, both singers in the reggae band Midnight Rider. The band was well known for songs such as “Wanted,” “Clash in a Rhythm,” and “Youthman Invasionz,” which allowed them to tour parts of Europe in the ‘70s and ‘80s. This steady music background blazed the trail for what has become Fari's present day inclinations.

Now represented by renowned reggae selector Yaadcore's 12 Yaad Records, Fari has become one of 2017's breakout voices in roots reggae music.
