Los Angeles' annual music festival FYF Fest, may have been its best yet. It certainly had the lineup to go toe to toe with any of this year's big festivals. There were so many standouts, it was hard to pick our favorites. ATCQ brought the house down with their classic hip hop jams and their dedications to Phife Dawg. Iggy Pop is 70 and looked a spry 20 out on the Lawn stage. Run the Jewels tore the roof off, Majid Jordan was a surprise and Anderson. Paak cooked, NIN rocked, but we wanted to crown a prince and princess of the festival. As hard as it was, once we came to a decision, it was obvious. See who we named below:

Frank Ocean stole the show and may have stolen the weekend. As he pointed out to the crowd, it was his 4th live show in the last 4 years. So, it's rarified air to see him in the flesh; but what was amazing about the performance, it didn't feel pretentious; it felt honest. From the visuals to the set design, it was flawless at times. It was truly an experience to behold. Below a fan captures the vibes shared between Frank and the FYF audience:

Solange has had one hell of a year and one hell of a performance at the FYF festival. The colors, the production, the choreography (which she does herself) are all in line with one vision. A coming out of sorts - the feeling of life anew. It has a magic to it. Here is a piece of her encore performance at FYF, the princess of retro R&B:
