A weekly run down of what we're vibing to. Vol. 5

The.Wav continue to bring the vibes. This week they released a new single "Proposition," produced by Masterkraft. Their signature sound, a mix of dancehall afrobeat and trap, is the perfect backdrop for a song inquiring if a fine lady would spend the evening. Yet, what makes the band unique, is they employ the clap back. Kelly Be gives a strong female voice to the male members of the band's request and it makes the song memorable. Yet again, this is the formula that makes The.Wav, well, The.Wav. Pree below:

Eesah is a special kind of dancehall/reggae artist, setting the bar high with his sick delivery and conscious lyrics. For those who are first being introduced to Eesah, be prepared to want to know more. With the timing of his words, overall tone, and mystic vibrations, his delivery just resonates with the listener. On his latest single "Run Ova Dem," this is on full display and worthy of more than a few rewinds.

You remember Maggie Rogers. She is the girl from the Pharrell YouTube video where he hears her song and calls her one of a kind and then compares her to Wu-Tang and props props props. Now, she has graduated and is set to release an EP entitled, Now That The Light Is Fading. Listen to the finalized version of "Alaska" in all of its visual wonder below.

What's more American than apple pie? The blues. So, we get excited whenever an artist delves into those catacombs and comes up with something worth the listen. Fink does just that with his upcoming project Fink's Sunday Night Blues Club. Check one of the songs off the upcoming album below, titled "Boneyard." Oh, and if you're into listening to a playlist of blues songs curated by the artist himself, pree here.
