We are starting off our 4th installment of the Listen Down with a little Grammy nod for LA's Grammy Week. Anderson .Paak just put out a gospel version of his hit song titled, "The Come Down Gospel" in honor of Grammy Week. Anderson, a gospel drummer by trade, brings us back to his musical roots with this special rendition, filmed with a group of friends and family from his hometown of Oxnard. Enjoy below!

Our inner Angelino rejoices with this next featured artist. Chicano Batman's brand of LA-Chicano funkadelic soul draws plenty of comparisons to classic artists, yet it's uniquely West Coast. Their new album Freedom is Free will be available on March 3rd, but until then, you can jam out to their popular single "Friendship (Is a Small Boat in a Storm)" here:

Our next song gives us the chill vibes right when it comes in rhythm. The musicianship grabs you instantly and Hempress Sativa's sweet mellow vocals do the rest. "Twisted Sheets (So High)," had us feeling the good irie vibes all week long.

We feature Popcaan often, but there is a reason why; Popcaan and the Unruly Camp simply make good music. Here's our most recent obsession, wheel up!

Grammy week has us looking at music over the past year. Which, can be tedious. Then, you're saved by a song you haven't heard in while and it's just perfect. Here's to one of those perfect 2016 songs that jumped back in our rotation - and we could not be happier. Psssst, it's Lil Yachty.
