DJ Crooks' "Rockers Room" is something every reggae and dancehall-loving Angeleno can look forward to on a Friday. DJ Crooks' diligence is on point as he compiles a soothing mix of today's hottest roots reggae tunes. "Rockers Room" is DJ Crooks' weekly podcast, available on "My aim is to explore the global reggae community of the past and future," says DJ Crooks. This Friday, the LA-based DJ is releasing a special edition of "Rockers Room" - a tribute to 2017's Grammy nominees, in the most fitting of categories - reggae music!

The 2017 Grammy nominees for Reggae Album of The Year are: Devin Di Dakta & J.L's "Sly & Robbie Presents Reggae For Her," J Boog's "Rose Petals," Ziggy Marley's "Ziggy Marley," Raging Fyah's "Everlasting," Rebelution's "Falling Into Place" and SOJA's "SOJA: Live In Virginia."

We caught up with DJ Crooks to see who he's rooting for this Grammy season and to hear what inspired his Grammy tribute.

"This is a special episode of "Rockers Room", says DJ Crooks. "It's all music from the 2017 Grammy nominees for Reggae Album of the Year. Personally, I'm rooting for Raging Fyah. Although, all the acts have such amazing projects, so I thought my rockers would like to hear everything together and see what they prefer." Indeed.
