Three of the most recognizable names in dancehall music recently teamed up to bring us a hot new track. "Power Move,” was recorded by Konshens featuring Sean Paul and Vybz Kartel. The single marks the first time the three artists have worked together and is an altogether unprecedented feat in dancehall today (as many artist collabs are limited due to beefs and such). The new single is produced by Konshens' label Subkonshus Productions in association with Dre Day Productions.

Konshens, who once noted that Kartel is one of dancehall's top lyricists, is in the process of recording a new album that will also feature his late brother Delus. The record will be a follow-up to his debut album "Mental Maintenance,” which was released in 2010. The "Gal Govena" also just released a new single titled “All Day In,” which is a fusion of tropical EDM and pop music.

Sean Paul has been working hard this year with his hit single "Trumpets,” as well as his collaboration with Sia on the Billboard topper "Cheap Thrills.” Newly signed to Island Records, the dancehall artist has no plans of slowing down anytime soon. Paul recently recanted his original statements regarding Drake's controversial representation of dancehall's growing movement. In an interview with New York's Hot 97 he stated "Yes I like what he's doing musically." Paul continues to do his part bringing dancehall to the masses with his hot new tracks "Tek Weh Yu Heart" featuring Tory Lanez and "No Lie" with Dua Lipa. Stay tuned for his new album to released in 2017 sure to feature more collaborations.

Vybz Kartel somehow manages to remain King of The Dancehall while behind bars. The artist has released track after track, hit after hit this year. Many dancehall fans wonder how he does it while in a jail cell. The artist has claimed numerous times, and most recently in an interview with Rolling Stone, that all his songs are "previously recorded prior to his incarceration.” Makes you wonder and it is rumored that his recent transfer from prison to the maximum-security Tower Street Adult Correctional Facility is due to these allegations. Nonetheless, we are sure to hear more from the dancehall superstar in 2017.

For now, enjoy the hot new collaboration from the three dancehall legends. Listen to "Power Move," here on KingstonToLA.
