KingstonToLA was thrilled when we were recently introduced to DJ Junky's modern mixtape compilations. Known as a mixtape specialist, DJ Junky hails from the island of Jamaica and is diligently climbing his way to the top, via mix after mix. Junky, who is based in the tourist resort town of Ochi Rios Jamaica, started out as a deejay playing on the island's Echo One System. Junky then moved on to join the Eagle Force team, before leaving the sound system life to become a full-time mix specialist.
One of his more recent mixes is The Art of Afrobeat Mixtape 2K17, which dropped on March 17. The tape starts off with Flavour's "Nwa Baby," and continues with some of 2017's hottest Afrobeat tracks including, Patoranking's "Girlie 'O' Remix" ft. Tiwa Savage, Danagog's "Hookah," Bracket's "Shoe Size," and more big tunes.
