You know you're mainstream when the virtual band Gorillaz features you on one of their hot new tracks "Saturn Barz," from their forthcoming album Humanz, dropping on April 28th. Unruly gang boss and dancehall superstar, Popcaan, laid down some phat bars for the new single. If there is still any debate, let's consider it over now. Dancehall is currently the most popular pop music around.

The cartoon band got their start in 1998 when the UK-based Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewiett joined forces. Albarn, who is also the lead singer of the alternative rock band Blur, is the principle songwriter, musician, and vocalist for the animated band. While Hewiett, who is a renowned comic book artist best known for Tank Girl, is the curator and animator of the 4 piece band. The virtual band consists of a lead singer Stuart "2D" Pot, vocalist and bass guitarist Murdoc Niccals, Noodle backs up vocals and plays the guitar and keyboard, while Russel Hobbs is on percussion.

While we wait patiently for their 5th album to drop, watch the band in their virtual world explore the "Spirit House" in their latest music video "Saturn Barz" animated and directed by Hewiett. You'll also be treated to clips of three other tracks previewed in the music video that will be on the upcoming album, "Andromeda," "Accession," and "We Got The Power."
