Reports have circulated recently that HOV may be dropping a new album in the near future. Well, over this past weekend, he may have found some inspiration.

Last weekend Jay Z went to Jamaica, not to relax on the white sandy beaches, but to learn about the musical history that comes from the island. This musical history tour took him straight into Kingston, JA., where he visited Tuff Gong Studios and hung out with some of Jamaica’s leading names in reggae and dancehall music.

The Roc Nation boss linked up with Damien "Jr. Gong" Marley at the iconic studio where they both laid down some bars. In a recent phone interview with Billboard Marley mentioned,

"Well, I did some work with him for some stuff that he's working on. I'm not really sure of the details of his project in that sense, but we worked on some music together. I've been a fan of his music since he came out. We've never done any musical work together. So that was a joy to finally work together musically."

This new collaboration would be the cherry on top of the soon to be released, fingers crossed, Jay Z album. Damien Marley, on the other hand, is working on a new album titled Stony Hill out on his Earthstrong, July 21st.
