This week on Dancehall Friday's we are playing catch up with tracks, collaborations, and cameos that graced the month of April thus far. Let's see who's first up to bat:
Nicki Minaj, who is no stranger to the dancehall, just dropped the music video for "No Frauds," featuring Lil Wayne and dancehall backer, Drake. The song itself may not have a traditional dancehall rhythm but Popcaan makes an appearance, and sometimes that's all the dancehall you need.
Sean Paul and Alkaline pair up for a new song, "Gyalis Pro" over the Crazy Glue Riddim, produced by Dj Frass Records.
One artist who surprised us with adding a little dancehall into their music catalog is none other than Chris Brown. Brown sampled Red Rat's 1997 dancehall tune "Tight Up Skirt," for his single "Privacy." The pop artist also just saw some big airplay recently for his remake of Konshens' big summer sixteen hit, "Bruck Off Yuh Back."
Cha Ching Ching released a new music video, so bring your song and dance to "Rock The World."
One of our favorite dancehall veterans Sean Paul just won't stop and recently released another new song and music video "Suh Mi High," just in time for the 4/20 holiday. We hope you have a speedy recovery from yesterday's holiday on this dancehall Friday. Wheel Up!
