Jamaicans love ackee. It is, after all, our national fruit and "box-juice" is a staple in the lunchbox of almost every Jamaican school-aged child. One international group has adopted these Jamaican favorites as the title of their worldwide sound system, Ackee Juice Rockers.

Ackee Juice Rockers is an Italian sound founded by none other than Kanye West, as they have a credit on the single "Guilt Trip" off Kanye's 2013 Yeezus album. Members King P and Ali Selecta have created a sound all their own, with pulsating mixes that fuse together tropical sounds, dancehall samples, and electronic vibes; sine-ing their own unique sound to the masses.

Presented by FlexUp LA and Showcase Mondays, this event will commence the holiday season in Los Angeles with a celebration of dancehall and EDM culture all rolled into one.
