The Dancehall waits no more! Jah Vinci’s album Ghetto Born drops Tuesday July 22.
The record, which focuses on the sometimes unavoidable barriers of a youth in the Jamaican ghetto, features artists such as Beenie Man on “Don of all Dons” and Junior Reid on “Penitentiary.” The 13-track set produced by Khabir Bonner of Grillaras Productions and executive producers Tariq “Nashi” Smith, Xavier “Bless X” Prendergast and Richard “RichThane” Hue, of Kamau World Music, drops only head-bobbing riddims to match Jah Vinci’s unique take on a ballad.
As you should know, Jah Vinci is no newcomer to the industry. The artiste earned nuff respect on his own when he joined Vybz Kartel’s record label, Portmore Empire, in 2008. Jah Vinci made his own name in Dancehall and in 2011, with gratitude, he left the group to embark on his own musical career and personal growth.
Vinci plans to “raise the bar in music by putting out only quality work,” he recently shared.
The debut album is in digital distribution by Zojak World Wide. Dancehall and reggae fans alike are sure to make Ghetto Born a favorite! Big up Jah Vinci!
