A brief recap of last week-ish in music:

KickRaux remixes with Major Lazer once again. On July 29th, the new future of dancehall track, “Kranium-Nobody Has to Know” featuring rapper Ty Dolla $ign, hit the airwaves with great reception. Major Lazer’s label, Mad Decent, is on a mission to bring dancehall tracks to the globe. Popularizing the music through the labels eclectic and electric sounds. This is the kind of music that expands your mind and can trigger your synapses, creating a feeling that will move you.

Lianne la Havas, a singer/songwriter from the U.K., released an album last week titled “Blood.” The “Greekian” (half Greek and half Jamaican) has one of those voices that just feels familiar. Her star is on the rise here in the states and she already has a large following back home in Jamaica. Some of her fans have a few fans of their own, like A-listers Prince and Stevie Wonder. Even Girls star, Lena Dunham, is a fanatic. Download the album “Blood” on iTunes here
