“World Keeps Spinning” is an electronic art-rock track with a mixture of progressive house and traditional electro pop, perfect for clubs from Cape Town to Manhattan. The song is a jam unlike any other mainly because of its cultural universality and all-inclusive feel good vibe. The rhythm is enough to motivate party goers all over the globe to head straight for the dance floor.
When creating this track, the Kamau World Music (KWM) production team took to their home influences to create a sound that could get dance-music-lovers excited and ready for the sounds of summer. KWM is known for using a signature Caribbean influence and has tailored their sound to capture the essence of the contemporary popular music scene.
At only 18 years-old, singer-songwriter Alyssa McDoom is making a name for herself as the vocalist to watch in 2015. With a similar melodic range to singer Enya, McDoom distinguishes herself from other newcomers, with an impressive resume. McDoom was recently identified by the YoungArts Foundation as the official jazz vocalist to watch in 2015.
McDoom and KWM paint an impressive canvas, and it’s obvious both were cognizant of the other’s talents and strengths while collaborating on their latest project.
“As you hear the song you feel instant bliss and freedom from worries or stress,” KWM says, “It’s all about spreading positivity with the music.”
