Vision is an artist whose name captures the essence of what his music provides his listeners. Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, the reggae singer has stayed true to his own vision of becoming a reggae music ambassador. Having recently worked with Mojo Morgan on his first major single We Jammin, Vision has begun to see his “vision” of music come to fruition, with a recent feature on MTV.com. The artist’s music is crossing borders and being well received by international fans, as well as his local base in South Florida. Even California is beginning to catch on.
Vision has carved out an international fan base in his tenure as one of Jamaica’s contemporary reggae fusion artists. Being from the island is seen as a plus in his line of work. “Growing up Jamaican is one of the greatest gifts God could have given me,” Visions says. It’s true. Reggae has a mystical way of connecting with music lovers all over the globe, and as a reggae artist, Jamaican authenticity goes a long way. “Everywhere I’ve been in the world, I’ve been treated with so much love, just because the world embraces us Jamaicans and shares the joy with us anywhere we go.”
Now with the singer’s new single Right Time, his fans are able to experience even more of Vision’s ability to spread joy. What stands out about Right Time, is the single’s way of breaking free of the reggae genre, sparking interest amongst all music lovers. “My music is different because it comes from a spiritual place in my mind and soul,” says Vision. Fans can agree as Vision’s first single, “We Jammin” ft. Mojo Morgan, was well received for its one love quality.
Signed to Jamdiggy Records, the singer is currently wrapping up a brand new EP. The upcoming album will feature dope collaborations with artists from various genres. When asked what to expect Vision says, “A new sound that the world hasn’t heard from a reggae artist.” Wicked. LA is tuned in.
